Trust & Distrust

Trust is something you earn over time...
That is a statement I have heard many times and it is the most ridiculous thing to have ever been uttered.
How many people do you know that would be better off now if they had trusted you from your first meeting?
How many people do you know that have trusted a long established relationship only to discover betrayal after many years?
Trust is a mirror we hold up to the people we meet and if we are showing trust they trust us and if they are showing trust we trust them. This is reliable 100% of the time.
Try it for yourself. Confidently place your trust in someone and you will find it is reciprocated and more so. It does not matter how old they are or what situation you are in - do it with one hundred percent conviction they are to be trusted and they will behave to the level of your trust.
Human nature has not changed even though our society has and I find it very reassuring that that my observation is still true today.
