The secret to telling jokes is....timing.
Well I'll tell you another secret and that is the secret to success in anything is timing.
Surfing - real surfing like people do with planks of wood on lumps of water requires a constant stream of good timing judgements.
Share-dealing - yep timing is absolute king
Driving a racing car - ...timing comes into it again as a constant stream of timing decisions
...etc etc
So when is the best time you ask - and the answer is now:
The idea is fresh
Your enthusiasm at a peak
The opportunity to get things moving is in front of you
Go for it
What timing do you do then? ...is your next question.
Well, an idea is that plank of wood, that car, that stock of shares you just bought and suddenly it's success depends all the other things happening around it. You need to see the next wave and prepare appropriately to place your idea perfectly to catch it. Then be able to balance it just below the crest and capture the force to go forward, onward upward.
