There is no one way to make a new product successful and if there were one rule I could give that peole should follow it would be to remember rules are made to deal with Mr Average. They apply in almost all instances, but never give up on an idea because of a rule unless the product requires the rule to be broken to work. Provided it is just a case of bending the rule to get the product going then there will always be a way to work around the rules.
