I have been using IPTelephone for years - since 2001 in fact.
This is a telephone on your PC - for those of you that have not yet sampled this form of phone it is easy.
You need a sound card on your PC - most come with sound capability nowadays and you see two sockets on the front of the PC marked 'mic' and 'spkr' or similar on the rear.
Now things are progressing and a good friend of mine has developed the ultimate phone for home or business - DKMessenger - see his site www.dkware.com
Here are some of the features (the list runs to hundreds):
- Video phone calls
- Conference video phone calls
- Share Files
- Chat
- Whiteboard
- Share Applications
An amazing tool and well worth trying out.
Also on the well-established and easy to set up list is skype - www.skype.com a phone with video phone if you want it and conferencing up to five people and it is FREE!!
So get on and try the VOIP for yourself.
