On-line Sales

There are now more than a million people out there trying to get you to buy their products on-line.
There are almost as many people trying to get you to sell your products on-line.
What is the best way to sell on-line?
Who should I use to help me sell on-line?
How much should it cost to set up a web-site?
All the basic questions you find yourself asking once you have a product to sell.
The answer is complex so I can't deal with it all in one go - I'll cover it in stages over the coming weeks and months here in Nev's Nuggets...
There are some keys I can give you now:
1. get a pen and some paper - pad of A4 paper is best
2. write down the name of your product
3. write down some types of people most likely to need or want your product - be as specific as you can
4. write down, from your own experience or from asking friends etc..., what sequence of steps they went through or would go through to find a provider of your product if they had the need. It does not matter if they would use the web or not - just write down what they tell you step by step and any words they use to describe the need.
5. write down what someone looking for a provider of your product would expect of that provider - certificates, training, security clearance, insurance, references etc...
OK that is enough for now - start to think how this information is going to help you with your web presence. Pop back for the next instalment...
