“Sir John Harvey-Jones
would turn in his grave!”

Law of Evolution

Today I had an email from my sister - she has just taken her exams and said she was looking to go on to further education...

Nothing strange in that except she is nearly fifty and it struck me how easily we overlook the need to keep giving ourselves up to others well founded learnings in life.  It saves us from tripping over and falling flat on our faces.

Being in Rotary since I was just over thirty years old and thinking then I was pretty much at the pinnacle of my career, on the leading edge and driving technology decisions affecting millions.  It never occurred to me to train in voluntary work.

Now a Youth Leader for the local Youth Club and being challenged by events at the club each week the chance to learn was a welcome relief and the trainer is excellent.  So many situations have two desired outcomes the first is simply to come out of it unscathed and perhaps having achieved the desired result.  The second is generally ignored in business yet is key to success in team-building (the focus of all youth curriculum work) it is to develop the people involved, whether they are involved directly or indirectly.  The big picture is what it is all about.

Want to launch your idea - turn on your learning skills and do a plan of what you need to learn and when.
