Digital Photos

You have just been out and bought a digital camera and the instruction book was only interesting for three pages before you went off and took some pictures...

Now what do I do?

Camera manufacturers will have you believe that you need to install their disk and load all their software and register with their web-site and...

Of course what they don't tell you is that a digital camera works like your old camera just that it uses electronic-film.

The simplest way to get the images off the camera is to remove the film and stick it in your printer or PC.  You can buy suitable USB memory readers on the net - try www.dabs.com or similar.  Once plugged in you can copy your photos off the film onto your PC and insert them in Word documents etc to print them.

There are few reasons to use the software from the camera manufacturer, but one is to edit the images. This is easily done if you install the software - use the above method to pick your best images and right click the file to send it to your photo editor.  Simple and it works for all your image files and does not matter if you change cameras etc...
