Addiction

Tuesday, 1st March 2011 by Neville Clark

Taking the word at face value addition means you can't give up.

All too often I observe businesses and individuals in a routine practice that they can't see to give up or move on even though it is the root cause of the decline in their business.

This too is addiction and yes they do go through cold-turkey like symptoms to change.

Here is a little experiment for you:

Choose something you do routinely - eg drink tea or walk the dog.  Challenge yourself to change that routine for one week.

This is something I admire about the Moslem religion - they recognise the addictive power of routine and incorporate a cultural ethos of breaking routines (except their routines of faith of-course).
