| Ploughed Field | Thursday, 1st January 1970 |
| Neville first discovered his passion for studying a challenge and coming up with a method then teaching others was when he was five. Faced with the challenge of bringing his friends home and playing tag games on freshly ploughed fields he tried with them numerous stepping techniques to find what worked best. The most reliable was a knee to the side motion (very little legs of course). When older he realised this was like a double version of the hurdles technique - using both legs to lead the furrows in-turn. Neville is to this day an action-based learning person and likes nothing better than getting people into trying different techniques to see how they work for them. When bringing change to the workplace there really is no substitute for trying it and seeing what works best then formalising - and keep reviewing. |
