Tuesday Day 11 Tuesday, 20th February 2007
Forget the tests concentrate of him I think is the best way forward and no results again today.

He on the other hand is really going from strength to strength and cried (I know it sounds bad) wonderfully and loud today.

We are still tube feeding him until this pooh gets moving and digesting properly so Cathy has to wait longer to express and we don't know if he will suckle normally.

Charles had - wait for it....  colonic irrigation to get his miconium pooh moving and that may have done the trick so I might just wait another day or two before getting a 'dairy quality breast pump' and see if he will suckle normally.

We both had long cuddles and his grandparents on my side came to see him for the first time.  They had a lovely time and he was very awake and alert for them (probably something to do with the irrigation and not his wish to meet the grands!).

Of course the tests continue... getting bored of all tests and no results, but he is noticeably better each day so they are doing well and I would not wish to sound critical.  These people and the long string of first-responders, ambulance crews, nurses, doctors and others all got him where he is today - what a wonderful NHS service we have!  The way I look at it the longer it takes the less critical the information must be.

Absolutely the best most wonderful selfless people I know and we can't thank them enough.

In summary; crying and poohing on good form today.
