Sunday Day 9 Sunday, 18th February 2007
My turn to be ill - stomach upset so starving myself and have a headache...  and a tickly sore throat that does not seem to get any worse nor any better.  Must be a worry thing, but will see how it goes tomorrow.

Charles is gorgeous as usual and managing some new expressions - smiles and frowns and other guerning like attempts.  They finally did the second antibody blood test so we shall see if he is on antibiotics tomorrow.

The hearing test still has not been done.

The nursery 2 has gone from near empty to breathing room only and every mum wants a cuddle so we miss out.  I never knew Sundays were so busy on baby units - a bit like out-of-town shopping centres!

Two parents were having a heated discussion with a nurse and feeling 'hard done by' because they were told not to bring 2ft high cuddly toys on to the ward.  I don't know how people can be so dumb not to see the obvious reason this is not allowed.  I guess they are also the parents who parked four-by-fours on the double yellow lines along the entrance to the car-park because they don't fit in the hospital car park...  Ah well at least Charles is getting early lessons in hospital politics and psychology.

Here is the best of todays pics when Charles was awake and we were able to get to his cot.  He certainly appears to be looking around.
Face 3Otherwise no change still on 2ml of milk every 2hrs.  I am off to bed to nurse my headache...
