Presents are worthless...

I don't know why that title came into my head and I felt the need to remove the previous 'Praying Works' entry, but here it is:

Charles is simply normal as far as I and anyone that meets him can tell. That makes this blog a bit superfluous and I have been avoiding doing another entry - too busy to do another good news entry until now.

Taking the title that came into my head I think what I am trying to say is the word 'presents' subtly puts the emphasis on the person presenting - as if they are important in the equation.  Yet the most satisfying gifts are ones only you know you helped make happen - they are worthless to you - no value - just the sheer enjoyment and fulfillment of giving - no strings attached.

This time of year is a time of giving and we follow the format of buying presents - things we value and label 'From Me to You' and give to someone hoping they will be pleased and thank us.  Don't get me wrong - I like being thanked as much as the next person.  I don't expect to be thanked though.

Charles is a most wonderful gift, but I can't thank everyone and everything that worked together to bring him safely through to today.  Thank you to those of you reading this who tried to help - it was a wonderful effort and don't stand down completely because we all need to give and take support - look around I am sure you can think of someone needing your help.  You might even try the anonymous route...

The word 'Gift' works for me.

Charles and Emily are Gifts I can not begin to put a value on.

The 'Gift' of words used well can work wonders so even if you can't help in other ways remember - sometimes a few well chosen words can make a beautiful gift.

Charles gift for Christmas is talking so this is very timely!

Merry Christmas
