He is now getting two visits a day from Mum and one every other day from me and Emily. He needs to rest and grow and that is what he is doing. Feeds are staying at full and he is coping well. When he is awake he is interested and appears to be taking it all in his stride.
We on the other hand are tired and in need of some rest and relaxation - something we won't get for weeks yet, even though hospital staff are doing his main care.
It has been a rough day, at work everyone is stressy about things going wrong, little things getting people down and my builder's mate nailing his thumb to a plank all serve to make today a morose and Eeyore day. My areas of concern have been fine - it has just been the environment.
A few people are off at work with stress and I worry our story might be partly to blame - should I really do this blog? Several people have said they have been moved to tears by what I have written and I really like making people laugh not cry.
Now the wind is getting up threatening to rip the water proofing off the roof and a neighbour has complained to the planning officer about the extension so they want to see all my paperwork. It is all in order of course, but that is not the point! It just feels like a kick when you are down and it is just so petty.
It is at times like these I have to remind myself how lucky I am.
Right, I am off to do a glass is half full exercise.
I'll put the pics on later or tomorrow.
Sorry to be down - Things are going fine with Charles - everyone has a down day sometimes and mine is today. No need to call - the peace is much needed too!
Now, think, I want lots of happy faces and positive stories of success, achievements, thanks being liberally dished out for jobs well done, chocolates, nice weather, lovely anecdotal stories and jokes. That is an order. I promise to do the same. |
