Monday 26 Day 17 Mustard! Monday, 26th February 2007
Mum and Grands spent the day with Charles today while I got hugs from loads of women!!

Charles has poohed some more so things are definitely and finally moving in the right direction.  Still a long way to go to that suckle moment, but still a huge leap in the right direction and less likely he will need an operation.

He is back to normal temperature and whilst very sleepy he is trusted to regulate his own heart rate and oxygen level so is just on an apnia monitor (just sounds an alarm if he stops breathing for too long).

He needs to show he is stable and his milk is not aspirating (going back past the valve at the exit of the stomach and back into his stomach) then they will try feeding him in his stomach again.  If that is a problem they may send him home with a deep tube for feeding and wait and see if it gets better or operate to correct the defective valve.  It could have been indigestion in which case the rest and medicine for the valve will have helped.

I am getting more of a feel for where the Blog is not answering questions so will do another Q & A page later.
