Charles has been living with us for just three nights and four days - his world has changed from silence to noise, from fixed routine to new evolving routines, from clean air to dusty smell ridden air, from us struggling with mental anxiety at a distance to us stuggling with caring for a 'normal' baby up close and responsible. The learning curve on both sides has been remarkable.
We have learned that he will not be dictated to and if he does not want to feed at the breast, despite being hungry, there is nothing we can do to make him. Sometimes he is ok with it and other times he wants the silicone substitute filled with warmer stuff.
